'Principles for a Data Economy' Project Introduced to the European Commission

ELI President Christiane Wendehorst presented selected findings of the 'Principles for a Data Economy' project, which also inspired the work of the German Data Ethics Commission, at a workshop of the European Commission in Luxembourg on 26 September.

The 'Principles for a Data Economy' is a transnational project conducted jointly by the American Law Institute (ALI) and ELI and is led by ELI President Christiane Wendehorst on the European side; the project is generously founded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation. The Data Ethics Commission is an advisory body to the German government and will present its findings on 23 October in Berlin.
