Meeting with International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)

02.12.2021

On 1 December 2021, some of the ALI-ELI Principles for a Data Economy project team members met with the ICC to discuss possible ways of cooperation.

In the beginning of December, project team members of the ALI-ELI Principles for a Data Economy, including Porject Reporter Christiane Wendehorst and ELI Consultants Yannic Duller and Sebastian Schwamberger, as well as Project Assistant Nina Thomic, met with Charly Gordon from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) HQ in Paris. Charly Gordon also took part in the Principles for a Data Economy Conference in October 2021.

The meeting attendants discussed the main areas of interest of both the Principles project team and the ICC and concluded that there are overlapping interests, in particular regarding the support of SMEs when it comes to topics like data sharing or data access. In order to support SMEs in putting data governance measures into practice, the Principles for a Data Economy and the ICC will join forces and are currently looking out for possible joint projects.
